SUMMARY

In collaboration IED and MUTEK Barcelona Festival we created an Interactive window at Casa MUTEK for giving visibility to the participants artists of the 2020 festival.

OPPORTUNITY STATEMENT

For second year the students of Master in Interaction Design were invited to participate in one of the most eclectic and experimental cultural events in Barcelona to create an installation to be “the presentation card” of the festival.

APPROACH

Casa MUTEK was a meeting point for artists, partners, collaborators and other parties, we wanted to use their front window to be the first thing they saw and interact.
Our main goal was to create a space were people can interact and intercommunicate.

PROTOTYPE

For creating the touchable window, we use Bare conductive electric paint behind the adhesive vinyl that were connected to our Arduino base.

Each time you touch a location button, the screen will recommend you an artist and give you his information through a QR code.

LEARNINGS

Despite tests results can be positive in the production studio, it always can be unexpected inconveniences, so the team has to be prepared for it to know quickly how to respond.
